Girl Guides Badge Days
Join us on March 30th, 31st, April 1st, and 2nd to learn about Engineering and Design!
About the Activity

Using everyday materials, Guides will be Civil engineers in a bridge-building challenge, designing structures strong enough to carry as much weight as possible!
Then, they’ll tackle their own floating boats, and put their creations to the test to see whose can hold the most weight without sinking.
Build, test, improve, and repeat!

About the Badge

The Create and Make badge celebrates creativity, hands-on building, and learning through doing. In this engineering challenge, Guides will design and construct sturdy bridges and floating boats using everyday materials, putting their ideas to the test through real-world problem-solving. As they build, test, and improve their designs, they’ll discover how imagination, persistence, and teamwork can turn simple materials into impressive creations!
