What is Hour of Code?
Hour of Code is a Canada wide event that takes place each year during Computer Science Education Week. This year, Virtual Ventures is kicking off the 2023 Computer Science Education Week on December 2nd with our own Hour of Code celebration!
The Hour of Code event started as a one-hour introduction to computer science, designed to demystify “code”. Now Hour of Code is a worldwide effort to celebrate Computer Science and showcase the many real-life applications of coding.
About this Event
What: A FREE event for youth to expand and apply their coding skills through activities focusing on game development, web design and app development.
When: Saturday December 2nd, 2023
Time: 9am-12pm
Location: Carleton University
Audience: Youth in grades 6-12
