Indigenous Land Based STEM (Science Technology Engineering Math) Camp

Receive Native Studies (NAC20) High School Credit, with specific STEM activities delivered by STEM outreach Instructors from Carleton University. As well as: Connection to Land, Self-confidence, Resiliency, Teamwork, Leadership, Community, Compassion, Indigenous ways of knowing and experiences are woven throughout the program experience.

When: July 3-17, 2018
Why: First-hand experiences on the land incorporating Indigenous ways of Knowing with Western STEM knowledge.
Who can register: Ottawa area Indigenous High School Students
Cost: $100 security deposit, returned upon program completion (bursaries available)
Where: Thompson Island Cultural camp (Akwesasne First Nation) *Transportation provided
