Welcome to Trailblazers – A Leadership & Volunteering Experience Like No Other!

Are you a high school student looking for a unique way to earn your 40 hours of community service while developing leadership skills? Trailblazers is a week-long immersive experience where you’ll step into the role of a leader, collaborate with peers, and make a real impact in our camp community. This isn’t just volunteering – it’s a hands-on opportunity to learn, grow, and lead!

Every year, Virtual Ventures depends on numerous volunteers to help our programs run effectively. As a volunteer, you will be responsible for helping instructors teach our advanced workshops to campers who are younger than you. Being a volunteer at Virtual Ventures is a very rewarding experience. Volunteers learn great skills and have the chance to teach those skills to others.

What to Expect

Throughout the week, participants will engage in hands-on learning, mentorship, and real-world leadership experiences within our camp environment.

• Duration: One week (Monday-Friday) *excluding holidays!

• Location: Carleton University

• Activities: Each week includes a mix of leadership workshops, mentorship, and hands-on volunteering.

• Friday Lunch: Each Friday our volunteers will enjoy lunch in our cafeteria! The caf can accommodate all dietary restrictions and will give you a taste of university life!

By the end of the program, you’ll not only have completed your required volunteer hours but also gained skills that will benefit you in school, future jobs, and beyond!

Volunteer Requirements

Volunteers must be 14-16 years old to volunteer with us.
