Take Our Kids to Work Day is a yearly event in November that provides grade 9 students in Canada with the chance to step into the shoes of a working professional for a day. This experience helps students gain a deeper insight into the actualities of working life and aids them in making more informed decisions about their future careers. Additionally, the event fosters conversations between parents and children about potential career paths, and it allows our institution to share valuable insights, wisdom, and guidance regarding education, career options, and the essential skills needed in today’s job market.

The Faculty of Engineering and Design and Virtual Ventures is excited to host a day filled with hands-on activities and engaging experiences. Students will have guided tours of the facilities, gaining valuable insights into various professions, particularly those in engineering and design. Through interactive sessions, students will learn about the practical aspects of these careers, fostering a deeper understanding of the professional world.
