Grants to support students entering Carleton University (Ottawa) PhD program with an EU research focus
Based on funding from the European Union (EU), Carleton’s Centre for European Studies (EU Centre of Excellence) announces an entry grant of $3000 for a student commencing PhD studies at Carleton University with a research focus on European Union studies or Canada-EU relations. This would be in addition to any other funding offered to you by the university or the department to which you are admitted.
To receive the grant you must be accepted into a PhD program at Carleton University with the stated intent to focus your research in the field of European Union studies or EU-Canada relations.
To apply for the grant please submit the following materials no later than March 16, 2016, to the address indicated below:
-a letter of application explaining your eligibility for the grant and your intended research focus (be sure to specify the Carleton PhD program to which you have applied)
-a letter authorizing the department or school at Carleton University for which you have been accepted for PhD study to share materials in your application file with the selection committee
-your full contact information
Other materials may be requested at a later date.
