Australian scholar Sharon Huebner (Monash University) will give a talk and screen her film No Longer a Wandering Spirit: The Story of Bessy Flowers. No Longer a Wandering Spirit recounts the story of two Australian Aboriginal family groups discovering the history of their ancestor Bessy Flowers, who in 1867 was sent away from her home in Wirlomin Minang Noongar territory in the Great Southern region of Western Australia to eastern Victoria province, 3,000km away.
