Dear 1st and 2nd year students in the BHum program:
The Humanities Social Society, a student-run Bhum organization, is planning an orientation day event for all of you September 7th at 4pm. Knowing that you have probably not had the opportunity to actually tour campus before, they have recruited some upper year students to lead you all in a scavenger hunt around Carleton, which will end at Brewer Park for pizza! Joining you for pizza after the scavenger hunt will be 3rd and 4th years who would like to welcome you all to the College, as well as some of the faculty members in the BHum.
Please read the options below.
- If you are a first-year student and you have already registered for the Peer Mentor program, we will try to assign you to a scavenger hunt group led by your assigned Mentor, who will also be contacting you separately some time in the next week or so to introduce themselves. Please rsvp using the form below.
- If you are a first-year student who has not signed up for the Peer Mentorship Program, we’ll divide you up randomly among the groups but: you MUST rsvp by the end of the day on Friday Sept 3 by using the form below so that we can get all this organized before Tuesday!
If you can’t make it for the 4pm start time, then do try to join us for pizza at 5:30 in Brewer Park – send me an email and I’ll send you a map of where we’re meeting. - If you are a second-year student, we’ll divide you up randomly among the groups but: you MUST rsvp by the end of the day on Friday Sept 3 by using the form below so that we can get all this organized before Tuesday!
If you can’t make it for the 4pm start time, then do try to join us for pizza at 5:30 in Brewer Park – map below. Send me an email and I’ll send you more information as to where we’re meeting.
Those of you who sign up will get an email from me, probably Tuesday morning, with details on where to meet and who your group leaders will be.
See you then!
