Who this is for: Carleton University students and alumni from all programs and years of study who are either preparing for the next Ontario Teacher Education application cycle or are curious about how the application process works.

Whether you’re planning to apply to an Ontario Teacher Education program in the upcoming admissions cycle or simply exploring teaching as a future career, this workshop will help you understand the pathway to becoming an Ontario Certified Teacher and what makes a strong candidate. You’ll gain a practical overview of available program options, key admission criteria, and important considerations before you begin the process.
Through practical examples and trusted resources, you’ll learn how to compare accredited Ontario faculties of education, navigate the TEAS portal, understand other certification pathways across Canada, and create an action plan to prepare for your next steps.
