International Student Employment Program
The International Student Employment Program helps international students find paid experiential learning opportunities that align with their academic and career goals, equipping them with the knowledge, skills and confidence to navigate the Canadian labour market.
ISEP students have access to the following services:
Career assistance with job search strategies, applications, and interviews
Paid placements on campus and in the community for International Students
Resource Hub on Brightspace which includes modules on job search strategies, Canadian hiring processes and navigating the Canadian workplace

- Once registered, students will receive an email with next steps to access the International Student Resource Hub on Brightspace.
- Upon completion of Brightspace modules, students will be able to access ISEP job postings. (Please note there are a limited number of paid placements available through the ISEP program. Students who do not obtain a paid placement will still be able to access the Brightspace module in order to apply the knowledge and skills they’ve gained to other work opportunities. The module will equip you to apply to jobs in Canada through ISEP, mySuccess, LinkedIn, and other job-posting platforms.)
Navigating the Canadian Labour Market and Workplace
Participate in Career Services specialized modules designed to best prepare international students to navigate and enter the Canadian labour market. Topics include:
- Beginning your job search and building your resume
- Canadian Workplace Culture
- Introduction to the Canadian Hiring Process
- What To Expect in a Job Interview
- Transitioning into the Canadian Workplace
Program Eligibility
- Full-time International Student currently registered at Carleton University
- Eligible to work in Canada
- *Contact the International Student Support Services Office to speak with a Licensed Immigration Advisor for any questions or concerns
- Have a good academic standing
