Join Carleton’s Centre for Student Academic Support for the in-house launch of their new CSAS workshop on learning with Generative AI (GenAI)!
AI literacy is increasingly in demand with employers, and this interactive, in-person session explores how GenAI can enhance (not replace) your learning. Discover how to use GenAI responsibly, reduce cognitive load, and strike the right balance between offloading tasks and building essential academic skills. They will also unpack the risks of over-reliance, alongside strategies to maintain academic integrity in an AI-supported world.
In this workshop, you will:
- Describe GenAI and list some of its benefits and limitations.
- Identify potential risks of using GenAI in an academic setting.
- Recognize and evaluate responsible strategies for using GenAI tools.
- Apply at least one strategy for using GenAI responsibly.
- Incorporate at least one strategy for using GenAI responsibly this term, in a course that permits GenAI use.
Light refreshments will be served.
Please register on the CSAS Calendar.
Presented by the Centre for Student Academic Success.
