Who this is for: Carleton University students and alumni
What you will get out of it: Learn skills and strategies to help you prepare for upcoming interviews and connect with professionals through the use of informational interviews.
Prepare for the Fall Career & Networking Fair on October 15 by exploring two main concepts that can contribute to your career success: Preparing for job interviews and connecting with professionals using informational interviews.
In the lead up to the fair, discover interview strategies that will assist you in pursuing full-time, part-time, and co-op roles, or post-graduation jobs. During the workshop, you will learn about:
Job Interviews:
- Purpose of an interview
- Interview questions and formats
- Interview preparation strategies
- Things to remember during an interview
- Interview follow-up
Informational Interviews:
- Approaching professionals and setting up an informational interview
- Informational interviews as a networking tool (and how they differ from regular interviews)
- Types of questions to ask during an informational interview
