The EU Delegation to Canada has announced the winners of the EU-Canada Young Journalist Award, and two of the three winners are students at Carleton University. Since 2001, the delegation has put on a competition to recognize outstanding journalistic potential in students across the country.

These students will first head to Ottawa for the official awards ceremony which takes place on Europe Day, May 9. They will then have the opportunity to go to Europe and take part in a study tour which visits various EU institutions and the Canadian Mission to the EU.  Congratulations to Carleton students Juanita Bawagan, who wrote on Canadian Au Pairs  in Europe, and Louis-Philippe Turcotte, whose subject was the Canada-Europe Trade Agreement (CETA).
