Dr. Volkmar Lauber traveled to Sault St Marie, Ontario, to lecture at Algoma University on October 5, 2015, on new renewable power technologies (wind and solar power) in Germany and the United Kingdom between 2000-present. The lecture entitled, “Why, for how long and in what form does renewable power need support?” contrasted the types of support provided by Germany and the United Kingdom, and the cost of new renewables to consumers and to industrial competiveness.
