JMCE Roundtable: “The EU, NATO, and Russia: The elusive quest for a peaceful European order”

February 15, 2022 at 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM

Location:Online.
Cost:Free

The Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence is very pleased to host a roundtable, The EU, NATO, and Russia: The elusive quest for a peaceful European order.

Current tensions over Ukraine have highlighted disagreements between Russia and the West about security policy in Europe; they have also tested the unity of the EU in developing a coordinated policy on EU-Russia relations. This round-table reviews how the EU’s Common Foreign and Security Policy, NATO, and Europe-Russia relations are perceived in different EU member states, and how these perceptions have influenced attempts to respond to concerns about a potential Russian invasion of Ukraine.
