In 1942, a group of visionary citizens opened the doors of Carleton College in Ottawa to students building their careers after the Depression and military service in the Second World War. Carleton University is now a leading post-secondary institution, one that has provided a unique educational experience to 130,000 graduates over seven decades.
Along the way, many great people have become an integral part of the Carleton story. As we approach our 75th anniversary in 2017, we want to celebrate them. Carleton is embarking on a multi-year campaign to showcase some of the amazing people who have called Carleton home, those who have been transformed by it and many who have worked hard to support it.
