Congratulations! Winnie Ye Wins IEEE Canada W. S. Read Award

The Department of Electronics is proud to announce that Dr. Winnie Ye has been selected as the 2025 recipient of the IEEE Canada W.S. Read Gold Medal Award!

This prestigious honour is one of the highest recognitions bestowed by IEEE Canada and celebrates individuals who have demonstrated outstanding and sustained service to IEEE Canada and the broader IEEE community.

Currently, Dr. Ye serves as the Chair of the IEEE Women in Engineering Committee (2025–2026), where she continues to champion equity, diversity, and inclusion in engineering. She is also an elected member of the IEEE Photonics Society Board of Governors, contributing her expertise to advance the field of photonics globally.
