Student Versions Available

There are a number of software programs available for home use. Some are student versions that are free but may have limitations compared to the software installed on the DOE lab computers. In most cases you use your Carleton cmail email address to sign up for the software.

Anti-virus

Carleton university does not offer anti-virus to students. However there are options.

  • Every Windows 10 O/S comes with a built in anti-virus called Windows Defender.
  • If your internet provider is Bell or Rogers they offer free anti-virus to their customers
