The Position
A MASc research position is available in the Department of Electronics at Carleton University, focused on the collection and analysis of electromyographic (EMG) signals. The research will involve collecting both surface EMG (sEMG) and needle EMG data, utilizing neural networks to analyze these signals, and developing approaches to enhance the recorded data. This project is supported by an industry partner and will contribute to advancing the understanding and applications of EMG signal analysis.
The researcher will collect high-quality sEMG and needle EMG signals, develop and apply advanced neural network models to analyze the data, and explore methods to enhance and interpret the signals for practical applications. This is an exciting opportunity to apply and deepen skills in biomedical signal processing, machine learning, and neural networks, working directly on impactful industry-supported research. The researcher will be expected to produce high-quality scholarly publications and contribute to the field of biomedical engineering.
Qualifications
