Carleton University’s Faculty of Engineering and Design is happy to announce the return of the Women in Engineering & IT (WiE&IT) Program, a free extracurricular program for women in STEM at Carleton, for its fourth consecutive year. Since 2021, the WiE&IT Program has become a staple for the STEM community at Carleton, providing women students with opportunities for networking, mentorship, career-ready skill development and a study lounge for personal and academic development.

The Faculty of Engineering and Design is committed to supporting women at every step along their academic journey and helping to increase the number of women entering the engineering and information technology workforce. Since the launch of the program, we have seen a steady increase in the number of women enrolled in our engineering and information technology programs and students who have gone on to complete co-ops, internships and landed roles at our partner companies.

We are so pleased to have the opportunity to continue our partnerships with 21 leading companies, committed to helping close the gender gap and introduce the 2024-2025 lineup of activities. Thank you to CAE, Gastops, Alstom, CGI, Ciena, CIRAHoneywell, PCL Construction, Lockheed Martin, Ross Video, Amdocs, CNSC, EllisDon, Ericsson, Ford Canada, Fullscript, Hydro Ottawa, Nokia, March Networks, Solace, and WSP Canada.
