This panel discussion aims to bring together experienced researchers within the Faculty of Engineering and Design to share valuable insights regarding the integration of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) principles in their research practices, followed by interactive discussions with the attendees.

Key topics to be covered during the discussion include:

  • Practical integration of EDI principles in day-to-day lab operations
  • Fostering an inclusive lab culture that respects diverse perspectives
  • Overcoming challenges in promoting EDI within research labs
  • Approaches for building and maintaining diverse research teams
  • Evaluating the success of EDI initiatives in research practices
