Discrimination and Harassment Response

EIC provides confidential, fair and impartial advice of human rights-related concerns and complaints from faculty, staff and students. If you need advice regarding concerns and/or complaints of harassment and discrimination, email EIC or call EIC at (613)-520-5622.

EIC also provides confidential and non-adversarial informal resolution services using a variety of alternative dispute resolution mechanisms including negotiation and facilitated conversations. We collaborate with the parties to prevent escalation wherever possible, empower and educate community members as to their rights and responsibilities and assist in the timely resolution of human rights issues.

EIC works within legal frameworks and principles but does not provide legal advice.

View the Carleton University’s Human Rights Policy to learn more about the processes available. Individuals seeking to file a human rights complaint should consult the appropriate intake office for guidance.
