2026 Konrad Adenauer Visiting Professor on Transatlantic Relations, Jan Wouters Teaching for EURUS in Fall 2026.
The Centre for European Studies (CES) and the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (Foundation Office Canada) have selected Jan Wouters as the 2026 Konrad Adenauer Visiting Professor on Transatlantic Relations. Professor Wouters will teach a class for EURUS in the Fall 2026.
Jan Wouters is a widely published scholar of global governance, international and EU law, human rights, international organizations, and corporate law. He is Full Professor of International Law and International Organizations at KU Leuven in Belgium, where he serves as Jean Monnet Chair ad personam in EU and Global Governance, Founding Director of the Institute for International Law and the Leuven Centre for Global Governance Studies, and Administrator of the America Europe Fund. He has led several collaborative transatlantic research initiatives, including most recently the Transatlantic Network for Dialogue, Education and Multidisciplinary Research (TANDEM), in which Carleton University is a member. He has published more than 85 books, 165 journal articles, and 300 book chapters.
