About the Event

In recent years, the Central and Eastern European regions have seen two distinct processes of integration. On the one hand, the European Union has enlarged by integrating new member states. On the other, the Russian-sponsored Eurasian Union has expanded through the inclusion of several post-Soviet states. The February 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine has significantly altered perspectives about Central and Eastern European regional integration. In this lecture, Dr. Zegota will discuss Russian foreign and security policy as it relates to European security.
