The Feminist Institutes of Carleton University & University of Ottawa present our annual 2024 Graduate Conference
March 25 and March 26
The graduate students of the Feminist Institute for Social Transformation at Carleton University and the Institute of Feminist and Gender Studies at the University of Ottawa are excited to announce a call for submissions for our 2024 conference titled “Resistance Through Feminist Acts of Care: Crafting Restorative Spaces of Knowledge, Community and Coalition-building towards Liberation.” The conference will be held in person and online on March 25 – 26, 2024.

“Our event aims to overcome the conventional ideas of an academic conference by focusing on knowledge sharing, community building, and resistance. We welcome submissions from leaders, collectives, artists, performers, and writers from both inside and outside the academic community.”
We are hoping to host a multimedia conference where presenters can use any form of knowledge-making, such as, but not limited to: stories (written and oral), songs, poetry, poster presentations, paintings or other art forms, podcasts, PowerPoints, research papers, TikToks or any other methods. Group presentations or activities are welcomed and encouraged. See the submission guidelines below for more information.
