Contract Instructor Opportunities Winter 2022

Pursuant to Articles 15 to 18 of the CUPE 4600 Unit 2 Collective Agreement, and subject to both budgetary and administrative approvals, applications are invited from members of the CUPE 4600-2 bargaining unit and other interested persons to teach the following Department of French course during the 2022 Winter term. Please note that the University reserves the right to cancel any courses with insufficient registration.

A note to all applicants: As per Articles 16.3 and 16.4 in the CUPE 4600-2 Collective Agreement, the posted vacancies listed below are first offered to applicants meeting the incumbency criterion. FREN 3414 Sociolinguistique du français [0.5 credit] Winter
Le français, une réalité hétérogène. Approche variationniste, qualitative et quantitative, de l’étude du français dans ses dimensions dialectales, sociales et stylistiques. Variations intra-individuelles et entre individus. Facteurs externes de la variation interne du français. Diversités du français.

Cours trois heures par semaine.

Preferred Academic Qualifications and Skills: PhD in French sociolinguistics.

Teaching Competence:  Relevant experience teaching linguistics at the university level.

If public health restrictions allow, the planned mode of delivery for this course will be in-person face-to-face lectures.  The University may require that all or part of this course be delivered remotely, including online.
