Yes! PMC students should note that not all host institutions will be able to provide accommodation in the same manner as Carleton. You must contact the accessibility services office at the host institution to determine what services are available and arrange for those accommodations. To facilitate this process, your PMC Coordinator can provide you with a copy of your documentation and a letter outlining the accommodations you receive at Carleton. For more information, please visit the Paul Menton Centre.

Students can only participate in an Exchange with one of our listed Exchange Partner Institutions & Programs.
If you do not see an institution listed and you wish to study there, we invite you to explore a Letter of Permission through the Registrar’s Office. An approved Letter of Permission enables Carleton Degree or Certificate students to apply to study at any other accredited university.
-
Placements are selected based on the application short answer questions, CGPA, degree requirements, and spots available at the institution. The ISSO makes every reasonable effort to place students in one of their five preferred institutions, but space is limited. Students must select five institutions where they wish to study in the exchange application.
Some countries are especially popular, such as Japan, Spain, France, and the UK. Placement in these countries is even more competitive, and students are encouraged to diversify their preferred institutions across different regions.
