CUAG Collaoration
Healthy Workplace is absolutely delighted to collaborate with the Carleton University Art Gallery (CUAG) on two exhibitions-based workshops staff and faculty.

Located on the northern edge of the Carleton University campus, CUAG serves campus and civic communities. The gallery operates in an evolving environment that is grounded in inquiry and the open exchange of ideas.
CUAG fosters inclusive opportunities for art-based learning. They facilitate spaces of reflection and action around the ideas raised by the artists who anchor our exhibition, public and publication programs. They mentor and support emerging cultural workers and care for the University’s art collection – an important resource for research, teaching and display.
Fall 2026 Workshops

October: Joi T. Arcand: The Shape of Words
Date: October 29, 2026
Time: 12:00pm – 1:00pm
Join us for a brief tour of Joi T. Arcand’s kā-isinākwahki itwēwina: The Shape of Words, exploring how language, place and imagination can shape the worlds around us. Inspired by Arcand’s vision of an alternate present, we’ll then create our own collage cities, imagining the places, spaces and details that make a city feel like home.

November: Faisa Omer: Threading Roots
Date: November 26, 2026
Time: 12:00pm – 1:00pm
Join us for a brief tour of Faisa Omer’s Threading Roots, exploring how textiles, memory, family histories and cultural practices can shape our sense of identity and belonging. Inspired by Omer’s use of fabric and textile as a way of carrying stories across generations and places, we’ll create our own colourful yarn wall-hangings, weaving together materials, textures and personal meaning.
Registration is required. Please note, there is a maximum of 25 participants per workshop.
