Health and Wellness Through an Art Form: Special Karate Workshop Series 2025
Health and Wellness Through an Art Form: Special Karate Workshop Series
The nourishment of health and wellness in both body and mind positively influences our lifestyle, and karate – a martial art – provides a pathway towards such enrichment. Derived from the Japanese words ‘Kara‘ (empty) and ‘te‘ (hand), karate is aptly termed the ‘Art of Empty Hands.’ It encompasses a variety of techniques that ingeniously utilize the body to confront challenging circumstances, fostering resilience applicable to everyday life.
Regular karate practice delivers both physical and mental benefits, contributing to a healthier lifestyle. It can bolster the senses of connection and feeling, honing timing and distance perception, and developing courage and sound judgement. Moreover, karate fosters a sense of community among practitioners through interactive training sessions.
