Dominique Marshall discusses the commemoration of WWI on National Public Radio

Canada Talks host Matt Gurney chatted with Prof. Dominique Marshal Chairperson of History Department, Carleton University, about the commemoration of war.  “Commemoration is always a moment to think about the history of these times,” Marshall said. “For historians like me it is a very interesting time because from one year to the next debates, new interpretations surface, and that is how it should be because history is always to a large extent re-read and re-understood by successive generations.”
