Beth Robertson profile photoThe History Department is pleased to welcome Dr. Beth Robertson as the new Instructor I in Canadian History.  She began working at the beginning of the month as she prepares to teach the first-year Canadian history survey course (HIST 1300A) and the second-year Historian’s Craft (HIST 2809) in 2017-18 with other courses still to be determined.

Dr. Robertson is a doctoral graduate of our program, and a Research Associate in the Carleton University Disability Research Group.  She comes to us highly recommended for her pedagogical and administrative experience and potential.

Dr. Robertson is a gender and sexuality historian of science, medicine and technologies of the marginal or the marginalized. Her teaching and research interests encompass the history of the body and the senses, queer theory, visual and material culture, transnationalism and disabilities.
