We are surrounded by technology, but have you ever thought about the history of your smartphone or your fridge? This summer course will help you dig deeper into the past of the machines of our daily lives, while also providing you with the valuable skills necessary to construct public history projects of your own pertaining to technology. The course is being done in close collaboration with the curators and other museum professionals at the recently renovated Canada Science and Technology Museum. Exciting weekly field trips, fun activities and lots of opportunities to engage with professionals outside the university all await you. No prerequisites required – just a curious and motivated mind!
