Roots of Entanglement Book CoverKerry Abel (adjunct professor) is pleased to announce the publication of Roots of Entanglement: Essays in the History of Native-Newcomer Relations, from the University of Toronto Press. The collection of 14 essays by senior historians in the field is, in part, a response to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s call for a better appreciation of the complexities of the historical relationship between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples in Canada. It is also a tribute to J.R. Miller, who pioneered the historiography of Native-newcomer relations.
