Students in HIST 4302 Experience Green Screen Technology in Studio

One production group in this year’s HIST 4302 – Making Documentary History with Michael Ostroff –– had much fun with Green Screen technology.

Using a green screen allows a filmmaker to place a subject in the foreground of shot and to insert – during editing – background images of their choice.

Earlier today, undergraduate students Carly Pickett, Christine Smith and Heather Keary — producing a documentary about Gananoque photographer Lorne Prosser –– used green screen technology to interview Dr. Carol Payne — a professor at Carleton and a specialist in the study of photography –– in the Media Production Centre’s studio
