Rod Phillips gave a paper on wine and the French Revolution
Professor Rod Phillips gave a paper at the Dixième Convention Internationale d’Histoire et des Cultures de l’Alimentation/Tenth International Conference on Food and Drink Studies, held at the Université de Tours, France, from the 11 to 13 June.
His paper was on the definition and regulation of wine quality during the French Revolution. It is part of his on-going research for a book on wine production and consumption during the French Revolution.
Rod Phillips offers undergraduate courses on the French Revolution and the history of alcohol.
