Part of the Carleton@75 Vision is for Carleton University to be known nationally and internationally as a leader in collaborative teaching and learning, research and governance. This vision underpins Carleton’s focus on Sustainable Communities, Global Prosperity moving forward.
Carleton’s Strategic Integrated Plan identifies four themes in support of this institutional focus. Two of these four themes concern Carleton’s research profile and the students we graduate. Both these themes, in turn, directly support the Wicked Problem of institutional competitiveness – an issue faced by all post-secondary educational organizations today.
Informed by our Institution’s strategic direction, our group refined the Wicked Problem of institutional competitiveness to Student Contribution to Research at Carleton and how that impacts Carleton’s Competitive Positioning in the Post-Secondary Education sector.
Our presentation overviews our group’s approach to this refined Wicked Problem, and details the Findings, Next Steps and Lessons Learned along the way.
