Canada in the Global Refugee Regime

      We cordially invite you to the panel on “Canada in the Global Refugee Regime.” It is part of a broader conference organized by Carleton’s Faculty of Public Affairs as part of Carleton’s 75th Anniversary. The conference is free, but registration is required in this link.

       The panel will be a moderated conversation between Jean-Nicolas Beuze (Representative to Canada, UNHCR), Heather Jeffrey (Director General, Humanitarian Affairs, Global Affairs Canada), Jessie Thomson (Senior Director, Humanitarian Assistance and Emergencies Team, CARE Canada) and James Milner (Carleton University), situated within the current context of the global refugee regime and follow-up to the 2016 New York Declaration. In the discussion, they will work to address the following questions:
