MeWeRTH’s Reading for Well-Being Community Book Club

From MeWeRTH Director, Dr. Joanna Pozzulo

Welcome to MeWeRTH’s Reading for Well-being Community Book Club!

Reading is associated with several health benefits including improved mental health, stress reduction, and improved cognitive function. Benefits of community include improved well-being, decreased social isolation, and increased connectedness.

Each month I’ll select an evidence-based book focused on a dimension of well-being, known as Professor Pozzulo’s Picks. I’ll also give you my take on the book. We will use a digital platform to post book selections and reviews and communicate with each other. And if you’re reading a book that you want others to know about, you too can post about it! We will have draws for book giveaways and host book events throughout the year. I’ll be announcing my first book selection, June 1st!
