Carleton Music is pleased to announce that a new award for Music students has just been established, through the generosity of the Friends of the National Arts Centre Orchestra (FNACO).
The Friends of the National Arts Centre Orchestra (FNACO) Award for Students in Music is valued at $2,500. It will be awarded annually on the recommendation of the Director of the School for Studies in Art and Culture in consultation with the leadership of the Music program, to an outstanding fourth-year student who is graduating from the Bachelor of Music program. Preference will be given to a student who has demonstrated an active interest in community engagement. The award was established in 2021 by the Friends of the National Arts Centre Orchestra (FNACO).
This award will be available for the next 5 years, with the possibility of a further 5-year renewal. Carleton Music thanks the FNACO, and also to Claire Lewis of Carleton Advancement for her help in overseeing the process.
