A year ago, on the 30th Anniversary of Ukraine’s independence President Volodymyr Zelenskyy introduced a new national holiday – the Day of Ukraine’s Statehood. This year Ukrainians are fighting for their identity, independence, and statehood as a result of Russia’s unprovoked invasion of Ukraine. The implications of the fight have global outreach and have a potential to dramatically change the security architecture, energy, and food markets internationally.
