Tony VanDuzer is a Professor and the Hyman Soloway Chair in Business and Trade Law in the Common Law Section of the Faculty of Law at the University of Ottawa. He has also taught at the Queen’s University Bader International Studies Centre in England, the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität in Germany and the University of Waikato in New Zealand. Professor VanDuzer has written widely on investment and trade in services issues as well as corporate law. His latest book is Promoting and Managing International Investment: Towards and Integrated Policy Approach (Routledge 2020), edited with Patrick Leblond, the CN – Paul M. Tellier Chair on Business and Public Policy at the University of Ottawa. In 2013, he wrote Integrating Sustainable Development into International Investment Agreements: A Guide for Developing Countries (Commonwealth Secretariat, 2013) with his University of Ottawa colleagues Penelope Simons and Graham Mayeda. Professor VanDuzer has also provided advice and technical assistance on services and investment issues to governments in Canada as well as in transition and developing economies around the world, including El Salvador, Ukraine, Thailand, Russia, Bangladesh, Pakistan, the African Union and the countries of the Caribbean. He currently is an MA supervisor at NPSIA.
