Social Communication Group

Do you want to make new friends on campus? Not sure where to start? Join the Paul Menton Centre (PMC) and the Carleton Disability Awareness Centre (CDAC)’s Social Communication Group!

The Social Communication Group supports students with disabilities in nurturing social skills and making friends on campus. This group may be helpful to students with various disabilities, including autism spectrum, social anxiety, etc.

Chronic Medical Disability Support and Social Group

The Chronic Medical Disability Support and Social Group provides an opportunity for the social connection and sharing of ideas and strategies for a more enjoyable and accommodating time at Carleton University, both inside the classroom and beyond.

Graduate Student Writing Group

Boost Your Productivity with the Fall 2024 PMC Graduate Student Writing Group!

Are you a graduate student looking for a supportive virtual space to work on your thesis or other academic writing? Join and connect with fellow students who understand the challenges of graduate work.

What to Expect:

  • Virtual Meetings: Join us on MS Teams to share experiences, tackle writing blocks, and exchange advice with peers.
  • Focused Work Sessions: Each session begins with setting clear, tangible tasks for the next 1.5-2 hours. Cameras and microphones will be off during work time to maintain focus.
  • Reflect & Plan: Wrap up each session by reflecting on your progress and setting goals for the upcoming week.
