Embrace the Season with Self-Care
After the busy rush of September, a wellness check can help you stay grounded and supported.
As we enjoy the last few sunny days before October brings cooler weather and shorter daylight hours, it’s a great time to pause and check in with yourself.
Here are a few questions to ask yourself, along with some helpful campus resources:
What needs my attention right now?
Do you feel calm and relaxed, or are you noticing tension and stress?
- Try this: book a single session with Health and Counselling to learn stress management techniques.
Do I know how to support my wellness needs?
Sometimes we just need a little guidance.
Try this: drop by the Wellness Desk in the library—no appointment needed! Staff can help you find the right resources.
Do I (sometimes) feel isolated or lonely?
You’re not alone in feeling this way!
Try this: Visit the Student Experience Office and check out their activities board. Attending events is a great way to meet people in a welcoming, structured setting.
What if I’m not ready to talk to someone yet?
That’s totally okay! You can explore support options even if you aren’t ready to talk yet.
Try this: Use the Wellness Navigator to get a personalized list of mental health and wellness resources available on campus.
