Audio Recording/Digital Transcription Accommodation(s)

Allows the student to request to audio record lectures as needed when recording lectures helps address a disability-related barrier.

This accommodation is generally intended for lecture-style classes, and the student is responsible for providing their own recording device. Recordings are for the student’s personal use for academic purposes only (e.g., studying for the course) and should not be shared, distributed, or used for other purposes.

If the professor would like a more formal agreement in place before permitting recording, the Classroom Audio Recording Privacy Agreement form can be used to document the terms and expectations for recording.
