Campus Community Events: Inclusion Week and Launch of Strategic Plan for Community Engagement (SP4CE)
This month, Carleton is marking Inclusion Week and Community Engagement Month through a variety of formats to connect, engage and collaborate across campus and beyond. These initiatives promise to continue important conversations and inspire us in more opportunities to build relationships, foster diversity and nurture an environment of excellence and innovation for everyone in our campus community.
Inclusion Week
Carleton’s fourth annual Inclusion Week is taking place during the week of Oct. 17. The goal of Inclusion Week is to raise visibility and awareness of the value of human rights work and EDI, explore practical ways to integrate its principles into our organizational structures and culture, and strengthen the potential for prosperity in the community. This year’s series is centered on the theme of Disrupting Cultures of Inequity: Engaging in Brave Actions and Making Meaningful Change. The week includes a variety of presentations, forums and open houses where you can learn and engage with topics related to EDI. Please register for Inclusion Week events online.
Community Engagement Month
Hosted by the Centre for Community Engagement, the event series showcases community engagement at Carleton, while spreading awareness of the variety of opportunities to learn, grow and build respectful and reciprocal relationships with communities. On Oct. 28, join us to celebrate the launch of Carleton’s inaugural Strategic Plan for Community Engagement (SP4CE), which supports the value and practice of community engagement, a priority highlighted in Carleton’s Strategic Integrated Plan. Please register for Community Engagement Month events online.
