- Exam Scheduling and Delivery – Examinations Services, Registrar's Office
The purpose of this project is to review: (1) the regulations and processes for the scheduling and the delivering of exams; and (2) the feasibility of decreasing the costs and the length of the exam periods for each of the four exam periods: April and December, summer, mid terms, and deferred.
The goals of this project are to review the four exam periods (April and December, summer, mid terms, and deferrals) using the following criteria:
- Rules and procedures;
- Conflicts and overloads;
- Examination schedule;
- Accommodations;
- Cheating (from when it happens in the exam room to when it is reported to the Associate Dean’s Office, and the security of exams); and
- Impact and costs of resources (human, financial, and physical).
The team’s recommendations have been accepted by the Benchmarking Steering Committee. Examination Services has put together an implementation plan, and is engaged in carrying out the recommendations.
- Email and Network Storage Allocation – Computing and Communications Services
The purpose of this project is to improve the governance processes for establishing “client facing” storage, and network disc storage allocations (e.g. email, file, courseware, etc).
The goals of this project are to:- determine the appropriate enterprise network disc storage allocations for campus stakeholders;
- create a draft proposal on information archiving;
- establish a process for determining storage allocations;
- develop client friendly processes for managing storage quotas and requirements; and
- establish an appropriate pricing model for exceptional requirements.
The team’s recommendations have been accepted by the Benchmarking Steering Committee. Computing and Communications Services has put together an implementation plan, and is engaged in carrying out the recommendations.
