Carleton University’s School of Computer Science is delighted to announce the release of the textbook Computer Security and the Internet: Tools and Jewels from Malware to Bitcoin (Springer International, October 2021). The author is the School’s professor Paul Van Oorschot, an internationally renowned scholar in computer security and applied cryptography.
This updated edition, already in use in our courses at Carleton and other universities in Canada and internationally, includes new chapters on wireless security (Wi-Fi and the IEEE 802.11 standard) and an explanation of cryptocurrency technologies (Bitcoin and blockchain systems).
