The School of Computer Science is investing in GPU computing with a purchase of a new GPU server that will facilitate running of undergraduate courses that require GPU computing. The new GPU server scheduled to come online in the Fall of 2019 will have eight ‘GeForce RTX 2018 Super’ video cards. The server will provide a combined 24,576 CUDA cores and 64 GB of GDDR6 memory. The GPU’s will be provisioned by the school’s OpenStack cloud infrastructure.
