Dr. Wilf Lalonde, a founding member and professor at the School of Computer Science, celebrated his 50th anniversary of dedicated service to Carleton University and the school in July 2025. Since his instrumental role in establishing the school, Dr. Lalonde has significantly influenced its direction and helped build its strong reputation. Throughout five decades, he has educated and mentored multiple generations of students and made many research contributions. He is also widely recognised by students and faculty alike for his exceptional ability to teach some of the most challenging subjects in the field.
