My name is Hussaini Zubairu, I am a PhD student in the school of Information Technology, Carleton University. I am recruiting participants for a study entitled “Understanding User Experiences on Social Media across Devices”.

This study aims to better understand how people interact with social media platforms on laptops and mobile phones to help improve future digital experiences.

To participate in this study, you must meet all the eligibility criteria. Participants must be:

  • Age 18 years or older
  • Use social media on a phone or laptop
  • Can read and understand English.

Participation in this study will involve completing the following:

  1. You will interact with a simulated social media environment on a laptop or mobile phone.
  2. You will view and engage with posts similar to what you see during regular social media use.
  3. After the session, you will complete a short survey about your perceptions and experiences.

The estimated time commitment for this study is approximately 45 minutes; however, the exact time may require more or less time depending on your individual interaction patterns.

Participants will be compensated with a 20$ e-gift card after completing their interaction and submit their responses to the survey questions.

If you are interested, please email the researcher, Hussaini Zubairu at hussainizubairu@cmail.carleton.ca, for more details on participating.
